Rajkumar Full Movie Review :

R Rajkumar is an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster ride that left me absolutely thrilled from start to finish. This movie is a perfect blend of action, comedy, and romance, making it a complete entertainer for all types of moviegoers.

First and foremost, Shahid Kapoor's performance as Rajkumar is outstanding. He embodies the character with such energy and charisma that it's impossible not to root for him. His impeccable dancing skills add a unique charm to the film, making the dance sequences an absolute treat to watch.

Sonakshi Sinha, as the feisty Chanda, is a delight to watch. Her chemistry with Shahid Kapoor is sizzling, and their playful banter adds a refreshing touch to the film's storyline. The two leads share a dynamic on-screen presence that keeps you engaged throughout.

Prabhu Deva's direction deserves special mention. He has masterfully crafted every action sequence, infusing them with his trademark choreography. The fight scenes are intense and exhilarating, with some jaw-dropping stunts that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The music, composed by Pritam, complements the film beautifully, with foot-tapping songs that stay with you long after the movie ends.

What sets R Rajkumar apart is its ability to seamlessly transition between high-octane action and light-hearted humor. The dialogues are witty, and the one-liners are sure to make you laugh out loud. The film doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's part of its charm.

Overall, R Rajkumar is a complete package that delivers non-stop entertainment. If you're looking for a Bollywood movie that combines action, romance, and comedy in the most entertaining way possible, this is a must-watch. It's a perfect weekend getaway from reality, and I guarantee you'll leave the theater with a smile on your face. Highly recommended!

Mirza full Reviews

At first, Mirza seems to be another action film about drugs and drug lords. But the Sumeet-Saahil director duo, with a fast-paced screenplay by Arnab Bhaumik and witty dialogues, manages to keep the film engaging and interesting despite its runtime of almost three hours. Mirza opens with Kolkata reeling under the spread of a new drug called Chill Pill, which is being smuggled into Bengal. Kaustav (Rishi Kaushik) is a senior police officer who sets out to identify the key players involved. The first two are a father and son duo, Sultan (Kaushik Ganguly) and Azhar (Shoaib Kabeer), whose agenda and affiliations are clear. However, then comes Mirza (Ankush Hazra), and here, the police get confused about his motive and connections.

With a script focused more on speed than logic, it’s difficult to relate to the connections made and relationships built, leaving gaps in the narrative that perhaps the director duo wants to address in a sequel (quite clearly since this is Part 1 – The Joker). Snatches from Mirza’s past embedded in the storyline slowly establish him to be a man with a plan. Ankush does a good job in the titular role, and his sense of comic timing is a bonus, not to mention the action sequences that are long drawn out, and well-shot. Kaushik Ganguly does a fair job as the merciless Sultan, but what draws attention is Oindrila Sen’s Muskaan – a feisty role that establishes her as a solid action actor. Though her character is quite dark, Oindrila’s performance stands out, especially in the second half. In a short but important role, Shantilal Mukherjee is impeccable as Officer Murshid. A special mention also must go to the child actors whose presence adds to the story consistently.

However, the film becomes predictable after a point, with hidden agendas and connections established throughout the story, and though cool plot twists keep the action coming, logic often takes a backseat.
The music is fun to listen to, with the romantic Ghalib (Ishan Mitra) and the peppy Elo Mirza (Amit Mishra, Aneek Dhar) being standouts. Overall, the film is an action-packed commercial entertainer with good performances and plenty of indications for a sequel.

Hubba Movie Review:

With Hubba, director Bratya Basu explores the world of the infamous Hubba Shyamal Das, who was also known as the Dawood Ibrahim of Hoogly. Here, the names have been changed a bit, where Shyamal becomes Bimal, but the director tries to stay true to the way the crime boss grew to become the terrifying entity he was.
As the film traces the life of Bimal (Mosharraf Karim) and his gang, the timeline shifts between his growing up years, how he creates a faction that slowly starts emerging strong as a crime gang that has multiple ins into the local political scene as well as the police. As he gets away with one crime after another, one may even at times feel sympathy for him, thanks to the way the director builds up Hubba’s character and charisma.

Mosharraf Karim (who was recently seen in Mobaroknama), has previously worked with Bratya Basu’s Dictionary, and the shift in his character here is remarkable. He seamlessly fits into the role of Hubba Bimal and owns it. It’s a treat to watch him, as he executes one heinous crime after another, or watches Sarkar in an empty hall he has booked. On the opposite end is Divakar Sen, a tough cop who is called in to find and arrest the elusive Hubba Bimal. Indraneil Sengupta as Divakar is a great foil to Bimal, the contrast and tension between the two is really good to watch on screen, not just in the way they look, but also through their conversations. As Bapi, Loknath Dey plays a crucial role in balancing the madness and terror that Bimal often brings to the table.

Although the timeline shows a period between 1975 and 2005, the settings don’t match up during certain sequences to the early-2000s period, which often takes away from the intensity of the drama. That said, the screenplay moves along at a brisk pace and the music has been used judiciously to give a retro feel to certain parts of the movie (like the song Mungda). There’s a good deal of violence in the course of the film (which isn’t surprising considering a don’s life), and cinematographer Soumik Halder shoots it well. The violence is required to show the way they would execute people, and also to emphasise upon the ruthlessness, despite the funny moments. The pace of the film is brisk and engaging, and overall, Hubba is an interesting watch.
